Anyone going to this?

SCREENWRITING EXPO 5 is having a PIXAR day on Saturday, October 21st and will feature the likes of Andrew Stanton, Brad Bird, Lee Unkrich, Jim Capobianco, Mark Andrews, Jason Katz, Gary Rydstrom along with big bro.

Talks and panels are scheduled starting at 10am with Andrew Stanton's keynote speech and ending with Brad Bird and Mark Andrews at 6pm with "Creating the Incredibles". Ronnie is scheduled in a panel along with a bunch of guys at 4pm.

It's going to be an enlightening and educational day and I'll try and post some highlights from the whole deal.

Amelia-

Not sure if this event is being taped or not. If so i'll let you know. It also being held next to the LA airport which is strange to me. It's a screenwriting expo, not a Tony Robbins seminar for god sakes!

I hope they let me snap some photos at least.

I'll see you there! A few of us from Blue Sky Story are flying out. Hopefully, and if no one is exhausted, we can go out for a drink afterwards... looking forward!

Sounds like a plan Rafael. Sounds like all sorts of industry people are attending this thing. Should be exciting!

I wish I could attend, but the commute from Minnesota is a bit much.

But if anyone does attend and happens to take notes, t would be AWESOMELY AWESOME to have those notes posted online somewhere.

Cedric-

I'm actually surprised this isn't being held closer to their neck of the woods so a bunch of us are lucky to be living here in L.A. for this one. Had it been scheduled in SF I probably wouldn't be able to make it myself. Close enough but far enough.

As far as the info is concerned, i'll pass on what I can here and I have a feeling others will do it as well, in their own way. (at least I hope so)

A recording would be great of this! Especially for some of us who can't make it, but want to be there!

All I can sadly say is, "sigh".

Mike,

Yeah if they are smart they'd record this thing whether audio and/or video. They would sell it out.

Maybe all this clamor will give them an idea? Should be an interesting day and i'll share what I can from it.
